Visibox listens for OSC (Open Sound Control) messages over the network, so anything that speaks OSC can drive it: a phone running TouchOSC, a QLab cue stack, Resolume, a Max patch, a Lemur layout, or a lighting console with an OSC module. Visibox can also send its state back, so a fader on your tablet moves when someone changes the volume in the app.
Most of what Visibox does is on or off. You press a pad and a Clip plays. Real-Time Control is the other half: a knob you turn, a fader you ride, a value that moves while the Clip is on screen. Fade a logo up over eight bars. Ride a blur through the breakdown. Scrub a Clip's playhead by hand.
The Remote category of the Settings window is where you connect external devices and AI tools to Visibox over the network. Choose Pair with Remote… to open Settings on that category (on Mac, from the Visibox menu; on Windows, from the File menu), or open Settings and pick Remote in its sidebar. In Visibox 5 this was a window of its own.
