# File Menu

![File Menu](https://manual.spaceage.tv/images/menu_file-5.0.png)

note

On Windows, the File menu also includes items that are in the [Application menu](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/menus/menu-application/) on Mac — such as Registration, Settings, and editor windows.

## New Project…

Start a new Project. You will be prompted for a name and location for the new project. The default location is in your Documents folder, but you can choose any location on your computer or external drive.

## Open Project…

Open an existing project. You will be prompted to select a Project file.

## Open Recent

Recent Projects are listed here. You can also clear the list of recent projects by selecting Clear Menu.

## Save As…

Save the current Project to a new location. This is useful if you want to create a new version of the current project, or if you want to save a copy of the project to a different location. This will also copy all of your media files to a new location.

## Close Project…

This will close the current active Project.

## Cleanup Unused Files…

In order to allow Undo/Redo functionality, Visibox keeps a copy of the previous media added to the project. Cleanup Unused Files… acts like an “Empty Trash” on your computer, saving space by deleting unused media files in your project.

## Print…

Use Visibox to print a nicely formatted set list for your project. No more Sharpie markers! Print a copy for everyone in your band. Don’t forget the sound person!

**Windows-only items.** On Windows, the File menu also contains these application-level items (on Mac these live in the [Application menu](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/menus/menu-application/)):

*   Registration — see [Registration](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/menus/menu-application/#registration).
* Settings — a submenu containing Settings…, MIDI Map…, Pair With Remote…, Connect to AI Tools…, and Install CLI Tool…. See [Application Menu > Settings](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/menus/menu-application/#settings) for details on each item.
*   MIDI Monitor… — opens the [MIDI Monitor](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/midi/#midi-monitor) window.
*   Effects… — opens the [Effects Editor](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/effects/#the-effects-editor).
*   Visualizers… — opens the [Visualizers Editor](https://manual.spaceage.tv/5.0.0/visualizers/#the-visualizers-editor).
*   Exit — quits Visibox.
